As of a few moments ago, Adobe has announced the availability of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5 as a stand-alone license. More details on it can be seen here on the official Adobe Lightroom blog, including links and video overviews of specific new updates.
From the blog:
The Lightroom team is proud to announce the availability of Lightroom 5 as a standalone license and as part of Creative Cloud! Lightroom 5 is now available to try or buy on Adobe.com, and as a free update to Creative Cloud members.
…Lightroom 5 has … the Advanced Healing Brush, Upright, Radial Filter, Smart Previews, improved photo book creation, and slideshows that mix video and still images. The final version of Lightroom 5 also contains several new updates including more than 400 bug fixes, the ability to share photos using the Behance Publish Service and an expanded range on the Radial Filter’s feather slider.
Again this is a free update for Creative Cloud users. If you’re not already a Creative Cloud member, there are some discounts here, or you can try Lightroom, buy it, or upgrade from a previous stand-alone version here.
If you are a Creative Cloud member, you can install it right now by going to your ‘Apps and Services’ tab in Creative Cloud and download and install Lightroom 5.
