Trick to Folding Popup Reflectors & Backgrounds, Even Large Sizes – #141 Q&A

I thought everyone knew how to fold and collapse popup style reflectors and backgrounds. But at a recent speaking engagement, lots of photographers were amazed at how fast I folded a large background. Many asked for me to do it again and again to demonstrate how it was done. So here’s a video showing two different techniques that work on large and small pop-ups.

There are a few techniques and tricks to folding popup reflectors and backgrounds. If you’re a photographer, you work with these often and perhaps can quickly fold up smaller collapsible reflectors, but large pop-ups like backgrounds can be more difficult.
